I'm a city in Texas US
As I was doing a search at Google using the keywords 'carl' and 'lozano' (and both) to see whether this blog is even ranked, I found out that my family name is actually a city in Texas (Lozano, TX 78568).
The City of Lozano is mostly hispanic with a population of only about 350. Funny (or shall I say weird?), in one of the city profiles I read, it said there were no registered sex offenders living in this city as of 2007 (read: none found so far, be the first). Anyways, I grew up knowing that the only Lozano location here in Manila is at Scout Lozano in Quezon City, with which I haven't been to yet.
Not really to trace my roots but Lozano is really not a Filipino surname--it's more Spanish. My father (bless his soul) who grew up in Bicol decided instead of using his father's (which is Indico) used my grandma's. I actually know only a few relatives from my father side (figures...). Oh please, I am in no way related to Oliver Lozano.
Is it good to know your name is actually a place somewhere else? I don't really know.
