I-Must-Have #1 - iPod Touch
I have on top of my I-Must-Have list the iPod Touch 16GB. I'm sure someone'll tell me to just wait for the iPhone's launch here--well, I'm no longer excited about the phone, if only it'll have 3G coverage, camera at par with Nokia's and SE's, and more instant messaging functionality.
As it is, the iPhone's irresistible--what with its simply elegant design and touch-intensive interface--it's actually a wise move for Apple to have in its offering the iPod Touch for people like me who just can't/won't ditch their smartphones.
What I particularly like about the iPod Touch is the Cover Flow interface, enabling you to browse albums and songs as if you're flipping through vinyls. An unnecessary feature for some, but something I'd fancy for an MP3 player--including the wide-angled screen that's multi-touch sensitive, Wi-Fi Web browser, and longer battery life.
My iPod 60GB (formerly iPod Photo) used to be my daily companion until it flashed the dreaded sad iPod icon. It's been a long time and my Nokia N95 is a weak music reliever it easily drains on a 3-hour podcast.
I can't wait...
