A new Apple MacBook is in the Air

Excitement's in the air as Steve Jobs stunned attendees (and the rest of us googling) in his Macworld keynote as the new MacBook Air is unveiled.

This 'world's thinnest notebook' is available on pre-order, starts at a hefty price of US$1,799 (that's close to 80,000 pesos at our current exchange rate) and features a 13.3 inch display (LED), a full keyboard, built-in 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth, built-in iSight, with a multitouch trackpad that allows you to use gestures to control a number of actions on the MacBook Air. Turn to Apple.com to see what else is there to drool at and what's missing (you guessed it right, the design will have to let go a lot including an optical drive).

As the smoke's somewhat clearing (Mr. Jobs sure is always ready to surprise us in the face of numerous speculations), let's see if this 'thinnovation' will become legendary like the iconic iPod.
